Perhaps you’re experiencing a strange bug or perhaps you’re grandmother just can’t seem to find Safari. Either way, Apple has now updated its AppleCare support service to let users initiate screen sharing with a representative whenever in a Mac support call.
Previously, users could still screenshare with Apple, however, the feature could only be started by the AppleCare representative himself. Now, users can start or stop screensharing whenever they please during a call, with them maintaining control of the feature the entire time.
When setting up the support call, you’ll first have to install a small temporary app that enables the screen sharing connection.
Just make sure you take anything off your desktop that might traumatize your friend at AppleCare.
