Apple’s Big Event, One Month Of The iPhone 5S, Coding With DNA, And More In Our Reader Weekly

We got to finally see the rest of what Apple had to offer for the Holidays this week, including two new iPads, a new Retina Macbook Pro, as well as the date for the new Mac Pro.Apple also announced that the newest revision of OS X, Mavericks, was both free and available Tuesday, enjoying a huge surge in downloads. That joined a huge amount of new updates for existing software, most of which had been made free, like Garageband. Though it was OS X’s big coming out, some iOS Apps got their own set of upgrades for iOS 7.Apple wasn’t the only company enjoying a big week, Netflix surpassed HBO in total subscription numbers. We welcome our new cord cutting overlords.
