When Phil Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, took the stage at WWDC yesterday, he announced that Apple’s newly updated MacBook Pro would ship immediately. However, this is no longer the case. Buyers on the Apple website will notice that the MacBook Pro with Retina display will not be shipping for 2-3 weeks. CNET reports that it’s unclear whether this is a result of miscommunication, a shipping error, or simply that the first batch of computers has sold out. Let’s be real; they probably sold out.
This newest MacBook Pro has a lot of new and exciting features. Unfortunately, buyers will have a bit of a longer wait than expected for its arrival from the Apple web site. In the meantime, Amazon is listing the cheaper MacBook Pro with Retina display for $5.00 off. However, only pre-ordering this product is available.
