Safari has also received a few updates with the introduction of OS X Mavericks. On the front-end, Safari has received updates to Reading List which makes it look nicer and easier to view articles. On the backend, Safari has been given a new Power Saver mode, background tab optimization, amongst other new speed and power optimizations. Scrolling speed has been improved with Safari within OS X Mavericks, so scrolling will be “super glassy smooth,”
App Nap is another cool feature cool optimization within Safari in OS X Mavericks. When you put another app over Safari, the Safari window will be put in a sort of a sleep mode. This makes Safari use less power when the user isn’t looking directly at the window.
More to come…
