Have you recently purchased a new Mac? Well, if that Mac was purchased on or after June 11th, 2012, you’re in luck. Well, sorta. While Apple will give you a free copy of OS X Mountain Lion via the Mac App Store, you’ll have to fill out a form and wait up to 72 hours before you can actually download the OS upgrade. Yes, you heard me right, 72 hours. For an unknown reason Apple has decided to make Up-To-Date eligible users wait up to three days until they can upgrade for free. Personally, I think that Apple is doing this because they want to save server capacity and possibly make a few bucks off of customers who are too impatient (and excited) to wait. Heck, wouldn’t we all do that?
