At WWDC on Monday, Apple announced a new AirPort Extreme, bringing 802.11ac connectivity to the router and today the company has released a new update to the Mac’s AirPort Utility, brining it to version 6.3.
Version 6.3 allows you to set up and manage the new AirPort Express and Extreme, as well as the new Time Capsule. According to the update’s official release notes,
“Use AirPort Utility to set up and manage your 802.11n and 802.11ac AirPort base stations, including AirPort Express, Extreme, and Time Capsule. AirPort Utility 6.3 allows you to configure and manage the new AirPort Extreme and AirPort Time Capsule with 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and includes enhanced remote management capabilities.”
The update is now available on the Mac App Store, or you can always download the new update from Apple’s Support Downloads page on its website.
