We’ve all done it — sent that drunken Tweet to an ex, complained about a boss on Twitter, or just tweeted some really stupid things you wish you could take back. Well, Tweet Cleaner can help you out there. Tweet Cleaner is a new app for the iPhone and iPad that lets users find and delete tweets easily from their Twitter account. You can search tweets by keyword, date, or #hash tag and then quickly delete any unwanted tweets. The app is available in the App Store for $1.99.
Twitter only lets you see your last 3,200 Tweets, but with Tweet Cleaner users can see even older tweets than that by storing them in your own personal archive. It will load your last 3,200 Tweets and keep adding more each time you launch the app, which is pretty handy if you have a tweet that’s been plaguing you for a while.
Tweet Cleaner is simple in its use and design. It has two different viewing options: your timeline and the filter options. To delete a tweet, just tap edit, then tap the tweets you want to delete (or choose Select All if you really want to clean it out), then hit Delete.
Boom, deleted tweets.
