You’ve been there, that moment when you’re trying to do two things at once, like chatting on your phone and opening the car door. Usually, something has to give, and nine times our of ten it’s the one thing that’s going to cost you the most money — dropping your phone on the ground.
We’ve all been there, and we’ve all had that moment when you realize your beloved iPhone is about to be smashed to bits. This video, a clip for the hilarious Portlandia, puts it quite nicely.
Last summer I was pulling out the lawn mower and dropped my phone on the concrete floor in my garage. Time stood still. I watched it crash to the floor in slow motion, knowing the whole time that there was nothing I could do. It’s a crappy feeling and probably proof that we pay way too much money for our mobile phones.
I also wonder if Android users feel this way when they drop their phablets.
