So, it’s iPhone 5 eve, and we’re all excited about our new devices. We’re eagerly refreshing the shipping page, and many of us are waiting in lines at the Apple, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and other local stores. We know what the outside of the phone looks like, but what does the inside look like? Well, German Site iPhone-Garage.de has gotten their hands on an iPhone 5 a day early, and they have taken it apart so you don’t have to.
If you want to see all of the nitty gritty details, please visit their site for over twenty detailed photos. The most striking part of these photos is how much is crammed into such a tiny area. After five previous generations, Apple has really worked out how to use every nook and cranny inside the iPhone 5. I don’t know who said this first, but it really does seem fitting: it’s as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. Apple has some of the most talented engineers and designers in the entire world.
Not only am I proud that so much great work is being done in the country of my birth, but I’m just so happy to be alive when so many interesting concepts and products are being developed. The hand-held capacitive touchscreen, for all intents and purposes, just wasn’t seen or used before 2007. Now, we live in a world where such a thing is commonplace. It really is something of beauty, and I hope you all take a moment to look at the insides of what might be the best phone ever made.
