Rego, that place-saving app that means “butt crack” in Portuguese, has been updated to bring better search functionality, Foursquare support, more editing features, new languages, and a whole lot more.
If the “butt crack” reminder wasn’t enough to jog your memory, Rego is an app that lets you bookmark all of your favorite locations, notes and photos in one place, so you can remember where that little café was and store memories of all your favorite trips.
With the new update, you can create new places by searching, using the Foursquare database, Apple Maps, or even by grabbing places from your own contacts. You can also edit and remove any shared places, sort your list of places and export the list to a GPX file (at least until they develop a sync solution).
Rego now lets you have camera flash controls as well, so you can control the flash settings (on, off and auto) in the camera from right in the application. Version 1.1 also lets you open your saved places in Waze for navigation. You can also open them in Apple Maps, Google Maps, and TomTom.
Rego has also been polished up a little bit for a more aesthetic appeal. It now supports more languages, including Polish, Finnish, and Portuguese.
The app is a free download from the App Store. It can continue to be used for free for up to 10 places, but you’ll need to pay $0.99 during the launch sale (or regularly $2.99) to add as many places as you want.
