Path has introduced Path 3, the latest major update to the network’s mobile app. With this update comes the addition of private messages. The emerging social network did a pretty good of it too, adding text, photos, stickers and other features to the messaging client. Stickers within Path messenger have been designed by well known artists like David Lanham and Hough MacLeod, and can be used to show emotion in private messages. Path’s shop has been updated to not only sell photo filters, but to sell premium stickers as well.
Beyond this, the app is the same as it was before, featuring the same design and feel (and probably lack of user interest). These features make Path messenger feel more personal than sending a private message via Facebook or iMessage.
If you’re unaware, Path is a private social network that allows you to share your daily adventures with close friends and family. Unlike Facebook, you can only add a limited number of friends on the network and can share very personal things on it. For instance, Path allows you to share when you go to sleep and wake up. It’s a great idea, in theory.
