Software from Panic is awesome. Every app they’ve ever released is great. Transmit, Coda, and Unison have all spent large amounts of time in use on my systems over the years. Today they’ve released Prompt, a SSH app for iOS. It’s great, as expected.
The SSH client weighs in at $4.99, and if you spend any time at all working on servers over SSH, it’s worth checking out.
A majority of our server maintenance is carried out over SSH, so this application is going to come in extremely handy.
There’s not too much to say about the app’s functionality. If you’re not comfortable with administering servers from the command line, you might just want to move along.
But, if you’re stubborn or know what you’re doing, then you’ll be happy to know that the app lets you pair keys for automated login, and auto-detects local servers with Bonjour, both nifty features.
Grab it on the App Store.
