Yesterday it was reported by iMore that Apple is planning to announce a number of new products on September 12, including the next-generation iPhone. iMore also reported that if this is the case, the new iPhone would be released just nine days later on September 21. Today, more reports have come out of the woodwork that also point to a September 12 announcement for the iPhone 5.
While Apple has not confirmed this date, Bloomberg, Reuters, The New York Times, The Loop, and AllThingsD have reported a September 12 announcement of the newest iPhone. Without giving names, each of these sites have reported sources that reportedly have knowledge of Apple’s plans.
Yesterday’s rumors revealed that along with the iPhone 5, Apple is also supposed to be unveiling a smaller iPad and an updated line of iPods at the September 12 event.
Without confirmation from Apple that these dates are correct it’s hard to be really sure, but it’s looking more and more likely. On the bright side, in under two months time we’ll know for sure and two months isn’t that long… right?
