We’ve recently been spending a lot of time down at our video podcast studio. It’s right down town, and we often find ourselves paying for parking. Problem is, we often forget when the meter is going to run out.
Problem solved: Honk.
The application is super simple, and lets you keep those damn pesky meter-maids at bay while you’re off having a good time. Honk uses icon badges in a genius way. Instead of telling you how many messages or replies you have in app, the icon badge tells you how many minutes you have before the time runs out at your meter. That’s pretty handy.
Also included in the application is location aware tagging so that you can pin your location on a map, as well as a picture-based note making utility that lets you write a hand written note on a picture. It makes finding your car a breeze.
If you find yourself out and about during the day, and often paying parking meters as you conduct your business around town, Honk is for you.
It’s already saved my backside twice.
