Well that was fast. Just twelve hours after its release, Google Chrome for iOS devices has hit the top spot in iOS free apps in the App Store. This Webkit-based browser app is compatible with the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch that have iOS 4.3 or greater.
The features of the app are similar to the desktop versions, available for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Compared to the Android version of this app, the iOS version of Google Chrome is available to a higher percentage of iOS units. Anrdoid devices require at least Android 4.0, which means that Google Chrome only works with about 7 percent of current Android devices.
The Google Chrome app for iOS allows for tabbed browsing with a quick-switch between tabs. Login username and password are the same across a user’s device and there is an “incognito” option that allows users to browse without history sharing or cookie saving.
This app is available in the App Store, so head on over to get the top free app for iOS. And did I mention it’s free?
