Flipboard for iPhone is available now

Huzzah! The ever-popular Flipboard has been updated to version 1.7, and with that comes a feature that has been in high demand since launch: an iPhone version. That’s right, the stylish news reader that once only graced the screens of iPad owners is now a universal app that works on the both iPad 1 and 2, iPhone 3GS/4/4S, and iPod touch 3/4 as long as they are running iOS 4.0 or higher.

Flipboard is hands-down my favorite reader. Not just my favorite on iOS, but my favorite way to read everything. You can log into your Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Google Reader, and Instagram accounts, and read them all in one place in a beautiful and simple interface. As of a very recent update, Flipboard now sports an account system of its very own. That way, you can easily keep everything in sync between each iOS device you have.

Just a reminder, Macgasm is available as a baked-in news source. Here’s how to get Macgasm right inside of Flipboard:

  • You’ll see us listed in this section from time to time.

Now, excuse me, I have flipping to do.
