For those of you who are interested in doing a bit of development for iOS but find the design aspect daunting, DevRocket is here to beef up Photoshop and give you some tools to get the job done. The DevRocket website describes its offering as “a simplified solution to working between display resolutions, breaking down full ui designs into separate elements ready for Xcode and saving for the Retina display.” You can use it to generate portrait or landscape displays of your splash screen which are resolution-adjusted for either iPhone or iPad (and you can easily switch between them as you like). You can slice and assemble UI elements as necessary, design icons and tune your visuals for the Retina display.
