Apple’s iOS Now Secret Agent Approved In Australia

If passing around secret documents regarding the worlds super-villians is in your job description, please pay attention. Australia has approved Apple’s iOS as a legitimate operating system to store and share classified government documents and data. Acting Director of Defence Signals Directorate (DSD) Mike Burgess and his agency have worked to develop strategies and instructions for securing both the iPhone and iPad.

What’s even better is that the DSD has released an extensive 62-page guide to the public that outlines how to harden iOS for the storage and transmission of important and classified government documents.

If you’re into ensuring the safety of your data, or you’re just genuinely paranoid that the government is out to get you, you’re going to want to check out the guide. There are a couple of pretty nifty recommendations, including how to setup Mobile Device Management, and profiles to configure your device.
