Once again Apple has taken the lead in customer satisfaction in the latest J.D. Power survey, marking Apple’s eighth consecutive win. This extends Apple’s lead over Android device manufacturers like HTC and Samsung, according to the press release by J.D. Power.
Overall, Apple scored 849, up ten points from the last survey, putting 59 points between Apple and HTC, which came in second. The survey questions owners on their happiness with different features of the device and their experience in owning the particular device. It found that iPhone users were particularly happy with the handset’s physical design.
Along with physical design, ease of operation was also cited most often for the iPhone. J.D. Power says that the iPhone scored strong in all of the categories, including performace (at 33 percent), physical design (23 percent), features (22 percent), and ease of operation (22 percent).
Even though HTC’s sales have been less successful recently, actual customer satisfaction with the company’s phones put it in second place with 790 points. Samsung came in third with 782 points, with Motorola in fourth with 777 points and Nokia in fifth with 763 points.
