Phillip Lam, the guy behind whiteiphone4now.com, is being sued by Apple in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Lam’s site sold white iPhone front and back panels before the official model was released by the company. Lam reportedly made $130,000.
Apple claims the site was “infringing and diluting Apple’s famous trademarks, in willful violation of the Lanham Act (15 U.S.C. § 1051 et seq.) and for engaging in deceptive practices and unfair competition in willful violation of New York state law.” Lam and his parents are named in the suit, as Lam is a kid.
