Skype for iPad already got this app update on February 4, and now the Microsoft-owned Skype has rolled out version 4.5 to the Skype for iPhone app, bringing automatic dropped call reconnection, toggles to opt-in or opt-out of marketing when registering, and emergency call redirection.
iPhone users will now be able to begin calling emergency number through Skype if they have the app open, with Skype making sure that such calls are directed to the native dialer. Traditionally, VolP services have been restricted from making these types of calls, so you might be happy about this new addition if you use the iPhone app regularly.
As for Skype on the iPad, it now features improved spacing, as the company has made some “minor changes” so that the app works more efficiently on the iPad mini.
You can pick up the updated version of Skype for iPhone for free on the App Store.
