Lots of people with iPads use their devices to take notes and sketch. Teachers, students, businessmen, and artists alike can take advantage of this incredible platform to get something from their head into a visual display of pixels. For a long time, Cocoa Box Design’s Penultimate has been the go-to app for note taking-for iPad users. With the launch of version 3.3.1, it is now even better. Why? One word: Retina.
That’s right. The world’s favorite sketching and note-taking app is now in earth-rumbling Retina resolution. When you swipe your finger or shift your capacitive pen across the screen, you’ll see incredibly sharp lines. It’s getting to be more and more like sketching on an infinite piece of paper.
Penultimate usually hovers around $1.99 USD in the App Store, but it is currently “on sale” for only $0.99. If the Retina update wasn’t enough of a reason to pick up this app, the sale should be. Such a deal!
With that out of the way, we want to see what you artsy folks can create using Penultimate’s snazzy tools. Post a link in the comment section below this post to something you’ve drawn with Penultimate, and let’s share some nerdy art love with each other.
