It’s likely been a bit of a tiring road for the Omni Group, but today, the company has finally completed their trek to the iPad. OmniPlan is now available on the iPad and is currently in the App Store. The iPad version of OmniPlan allows users to share and update projects while mobile, as well as sync between all of your other devices using a WebDAV server. The app also includes smart scheduling, and is compatible with OmniPlan 2.0 for the Mac. The Omni Group is also offering up free access to the Omni Sync Server should anyone need the functionality. The application also includes change tracking just in case you need to know who to make fun of at your next management meeting.
“We are excited to reach this important milestone of bringing the full suite of our core productivity apps to the iPad,” said Ken Case, CEO and founder of the Omni Group. “The team worked extremely hard to redesign OmniPlan especially for the iPad. The result is an intuitive, user-friendly app that helps you manage projects that are as simple or complex as you need them to be no matter where you are.”
If project management is your thing, and you like being able to work on the go from your iPad, you’re going to want to check out OmniPlan. The app is sitting in the App Store for $49.99. Let’s be honest — you totally want to complete your Omni Group collection on your iPad. I know I’ll be adding it to my collection of OmniFocus, OmniOutliner, and OmniGraffle. We’ve got a ton of projects we need to keep track of here at Macgasm, most of which center on trying to keep this god awful server online so that we can collect all of that delicious barely-existent advertising revenue. Yup, yup.
