It looks like the iPad mini will be making its way to Russia this December. According to re:Store, an Apple Premium Reseller in Russia, the iPad mini will go on sale on December 14, a week earlier than was rumored in local media.
Apple already rolled out the iTunes Store to Russian customers on December 3, and is expected to launch the iPhone 5 on the same day as the iPad mini. While both devices will go on sale on the same day, they will be available at different times. re:Store announced that the iPhone will be available at midnight, while the iPad mini will go on sale later, at 6:00 p.m.
Starting Friday, Russian customers can purchase the Wi-Fi only models of the iPad mini, with cellular capable models expected to arrive later. The prices will range from 14,990 rubles ($488) for the 16 GB model to 22,990 rubles ($748) for the 64GB model.
There has been speculation in the local media that not enough iPad minis have been shipped to Russia to meet demand, and this was confirmed by re:Store, which said “the first shipment of iPad minis is limited in quantity.”
