Bastion, a popular RPG for the web, Xbox and PC, will soon be arriving on the iPad. According to Touch Arcade, the game will be very similar to its larger-screened brother. It will feature the same story-telling style of gameplay as well as the the same main objective: rebuild Bastion. Without ruining the storyline, Bastion is an island that needs to be rebuilt to its former glory. The Kid, your character, is responsible for rebuilding the island and killing off the bad guys. While doing this, you’re told what to do by The Stranger, the voice that tells you the story of the island while you play. Trust me, it’s a lot cooler than it sounds.
According to Touch Arcade, the game is pretty awesome on the iPad. The combat mode apparently works very well because of its two weapon system. Bastion also features two different control methods on the iPad: point-and-click and a traditional virtual button interface.
We should see Bastion hit the App Store tomorrow, and it will be supported on the new iPad as well as the iPad 2. The game has apparently remained the same for the Xbox and PC versions of the game. However, one advantage to downloading the iPad version is that all the DLC content is included unlike other versions of the game.
