Want a smaller iPad? Then you may be happy to hear this rumor. There are now reports that a smaller new iPad will be introduced this year. This new iPad will feature a 7.85-inch IGZO LCD display manufactured by Sharp. This new tablet will supposedly retail for $249-299 to compete with low priced Android tablets like the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire. The iPad is also supposed to be as thin as the iPad 2, which is currently being sold for $399.
If this tablet was to be released in the near future, it would definitely give lower end Android tablets a run for their money and help Apple regain some of their lost tablet market share.
