If you’re in the market for a portable Bluetooth speaker, chances are you’ve come across a bunch of boring rectangular speakers. However, the folks at Outdoor Technology want to change this stereotype with its Turtle Shell 2.0: a uniquely (and kind of strangely) designed wireless speaker.
This Bluetooth speaker’s design is hard to explain. The bottom of the speaker is flat, while the top features an interesting, textured triangular pattern that slightly resembles a turtle shell. On top of cool ascetics, the speaker is shock and dust proof as well as water-resistant, so you can bring it on your next beach adventure.
On the technical side of things, the Turtle Shell 2.0 is a pretty dang loud speaker. In fact, it supposedly maxes out at 96 decibels, which can’t be good for your ears. The speaker also has a built-in mic for taking phone calls.
You can purchase a Turtle Shell 2.0 in one of eight colors for $130.
