Rain Design has recently released the mBase for iMac, a simple iMac stand that gives you quick and easy access to your favorite external hard drive. The stand has a built-in vented drawer that is large enough to hold most portable hard-drives while keeping them at an optimal temperature.
Additionally, the drawer has a passthrough for your drive’s USB, Firewire, or Thunderbolt cable, making for a clean look.
Aside from just holding your hard drive, the mBase gives your iMac a 2-inch height elevation for upright ergonomics. Even with this rise, the mBase looks natural as it’s made from an aluminum that’s colored the same as your iMac.
