Earlier this month Apple-Tracker.com was shut down after Apple sent it a DCMA notice. The website was essentially a stock tracker for Apple Stores that scraped stock information from Apple’s online store.. Users could simply input their ZIP code and desired iPhone or iPad model to find stock status of iPhone 5S, iPad Air, and iPad mini with Retina Display devices at local Apple Stores. And while the site was easy to use and more convenient to use than Apple’s own tracker, it does blatantly violate Apple’s Terms of Use, prompting Apple to send a takedown notice.
However, if you’ve been in need of a similar tool to Apple-Tracker that hasn’t been DCMA’d, you’re in luck. Apple-Tracker.com has recently been mirrored and is fully functional. So if you’re in the market for an iPad Air or other new Apple product, make sure to check the mirror before heading out to your local Apple Store.
