The fine folks over at Robino Films have put together a side-by-side comparison of the iPhone 4S video camera and the Canon 5DMKII. I have to say, I’m pretty impressed with the results.
The iPhone 4S has been given a lot of print dedicated to the quality of the camera over the last week, but it’s the quality of the video camera that has us more than a little bit curious. The 8-megapixel camera, which also shoots 1080p video at 30 frames per second, is starting to get some buzz of its own. Since it’s always about the camera in your pocket, we were curious to see just how well the 4S stacked up against some more popular still cameras that also shoot video. The Canon 5d MKII is pretty popular with the prosumer videographers, and it’s almost become the gold standard for dSLR videography. By the looks of it, the iPhone 4S does a fantastic job comparatively.
