I was just talking to a friend about the need for next generation consoles. Obviously during that conversation the topic of “moar powah” came up pretty quickly. Then the reminiscing started and we were down the rabbit hole of the history of video games. Just how far have we come from some of the first FPS games back in 1992? As it turns out, according to NoFrag.com, we’ve come a LONG way, baby.
No Frag has put together a video showing off the history of FPS video gaming. The 7 minute video pays homage to some of the more popular games, but it’s an interesting video. Seeing just how far we’ve come in 20 years is pretty spectacular. Yay, science, polygons, and physics.
