Apple has just launched a new promotion to market HP and Epson printers by offering $10 to $70 discounts on select lines of printers. Models affected by this program include the Photosmart 7520 and the Photosmart 6520 which retail for $149.95 and $119.95 respectively. On the business side of things, the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus has seen a discount of $70 and a two select Epson printers have seen $10 and $20 drops.
These discounts are a part of Apple’s Back To School promotion that include complimentary $50 and $100 iTunes gift cards with the purchase of an iPad or Mac respectively. In order to take advantage of the gift card offer, you must be a parent purchasing for a college student, a college student, or a teacher. The promotion applies to all Macs, iPhones, and iPads and runs until September.
In the past, we’ve seen Apple offer free printers with the purchase of Macintosh computers. However, with the rise of the iPad and other paperless technologies, Apple discontinued the offer last year. But if you’re still interested in printing on real paper, it may be a good time to do so.
