Apple Korea steals VP from LG

As of this morning it’s starting to look like Apple may have made a move to strengthen their influence in Korea. According to reports circulating the internet, Apple has hired former Vice President of LG’s Smartphone business to head up Apple Korea.

Dominique Oh has made the transition from LG, a Korean based company, to Apple Inc. Dominique Oh will replace Andrew Sedgwich, and bring with him a wealth of knowledge of the region as well as insight into future partners in the area. Oh, while working for LG, Oh was responsible for LG’s Android and Windows Phone 7 products.

It looks like Apple just got serious in Korea.
