Apple discreetly revealed that it will stream a live video of today’s special media event through a new icon on the Apple TV called Apple Events. This is the first time that Apple will live stream a media event since October 2010 with the “Back to the Mac” event.
When you click on the icon, which looks like the invitations Apple recently sent out, you can choose the “Apple Special Event – LIVE” to watch as soon as it gets going at 10:00am Pacific. You’ll also notice a list of other Apple media events from the past that you can now watch right on your TV.
Apple’s special event today is expected to highlight the rumored iPad mini, as well as a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display and updated iMacs. So in just a few hours we’ll know exactly what Apple’s had up its sleeve and we can put the rumors to rest, at least for a little while.
