It seems that EA is now creating applications for the iPhone and iPad that expire. Not only is the latest version of Rock Band set to expire on May 31, 2012, but the application is currently still on sale in the App Store, and no where does it mention that the game will be expiring.It kind of looks like EA is now in the business of using the App Store as a glorified game rental service.We’ve reached out to both Apple and EA for clarifications. We’ll have more info once/if we hear back from either of them. Right now the only thing we can say is: WTF.
