Today Apple sent out invites for their iPad event on March 7th. What does that mean? There will be a boatload of rumors surfacing on a daily basis from this moment until Tim Cook takes the stage next week. Maybe even during the event itself. So what’s the newest one? CNBC claimed in a recent tweet that a Quad-core iPad 3 with 4G LTE compatibility will be announced in NY next week. Their proof? The super awesome “sources” that we’ve all grown to love. The funny thing is that the event is actually being held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
So strike one:

So the list of things expected, speculated, and rumoured for the next iPad:
- Retina display
- 4G LTE compatibility
- A5X/6 Quad-core processor
- Home button-less design (check image)
- Weight gain (thicker and bigger panel)
- $80 price hike (most likely not)
- New Apple TV announced same time
