The title says it all. It’s just bizarre, but it happened. Case manufacturer G-Form has done it again. Known for their publicity stunts, this one took the gold as G-Form showed off their 60z Extreme Edge case. Their faith didn’t disappoint when after crash landing on a rocky hillside, you could still slide to unlock – and play Angry Birds.
The company released a stunning hi-def video Thursday where the nearly naked iPad is shown hanging above the Earth in the blackness of space. In the video, the iPad is lifted to over 100,000 feet by a weather balloon which bursts at altitude, then releasing the iPad to free-fall to Earth where it crash lands on a rocky hillside in the Nevada countryside. Perhaps even more remarkable than the dramatic hi-def footage itself is the fact that the iPad survives the adventure, remaining fully functional.
As evident as it may be, I’d never strap my white iPad 2 to any case and have it go flying in another direction. Except if someone really gets me angry – then I’d just smack them with it like one boy did to his brother. Regardless, nice one G-Form. Nice one.
