A lot of Final Cut Pro X news has hit the waves this week already, and today we’re hearing from Japanese blog Macotakara that Final Cut Pro X will be available in the Mac App Store next week. The release would be right on track with the original announcement of the software being released in “June” back at NAB in April.
Screenshots of the bundle appeared online over the weekend, and we managed to repost the photos from AppleInsider. Today, we were issued a cease and desist letter on behalf of Ripple Training, Inc., so we won’t be posting them again. Apparently a screenshot of an application is ccopyrightable. Who knew.
Anyway, Final Cut Pro X on the Mac App Store really hammers home the fact that Apple’s going all in with the Mac App Store. Consumer and professional software alike will now be maintained through the Mac App Store. It might be a while before we actually see other professional applications from third parties make their way onto the store, but Apple’s leading the way with Final Cut Pro X.
Back in April, while presenting at NAB, Apple announced that Final Cut Pro X will be on sale for $299.00. Motion and other applications from the Final Cut Studio bundle are expected to be built right into Final Cut Pro X.
