It looks like Gentlemen’s Quarterly (GQ) in the UK is changing its style when it comes to subscriptions. Subscribers to the magazine will get the iPad version free.
According to Pocket-lint, Conde Nast is currently negotiating with Apple to arrange this deal. There isn’t an exact date for when this transition will occur, nor when the deal will be sealed, but it is coming.
This is not the first time that a magazine-subscriber can get the iPad edition for free, and it certainly will not be the last. The interesting part with this deal is that if you are under 17, you will not be able to download the application from the iTunes App Store due to restrictions regarding language and references to substances.
Until the deal is finalized, potential subscribers can download the app for free and use the in-app purchase to purchase an individual issue for $3.99.
