We know those fine jailbreakers are great at what they do, but even I am a little bit surprised that they’ve managed to jailbreak iOS 5 in a matter of hours. Last night MuscleNerd tweeted out a couple of screenshots from an iPod touch 4th generation showing Cydia installed on the device.
The jailbreak is tethered at this point, and uses existing exploits, utilized by limera1n, to get the job done. There’s no explanation about how far down the iOS lineup the jailbreak will go, or whether or not the jailbreak will still be available by the time iOS ships this fall.
If you have access to the developer preview, and you’re hoping to get all Cydia up on iOS 5, then it may only be a matter of time until you can jailbreak again.
