If you noticed that iCloud and iTunes were down Wednesday morning, it wasn’t just you: According to Apple’s service status page, all iTunes Store services suffered an outage—and that includes the iOS and Mac App Store, iBooks, and the iTunes Store itself. iCloud services, including iCloud email, were also down for a time Wednesday.

Apple tells CNBC that an internal DNS error triggered this morning’s outages. CNBC also reports that the outage affected Apple’s retail stores, forcing them to resort to old-timey paper credit card processing.
