Don’t look now, there’s about to be a glut of new creative selfies on your Facebook timeline. Instagram has just released a new app “to capture high-quality time-lapse videos even while in motion.” Hyperlapse, the app in question, is already on the App Store for free.
Hyperlapse, a twist on the time-lapse video of yesteryear, has built-in stabilization technology that cleans up your handheld videos. The gist, in plain english, is that you no longer need a bunch of gear to take timelapse videos. The app does all that fancy stabilization out of the box.
Hyperlapse lets you speed up your videos by 12x, and then you can push the video to Instagram with the click of a button.
