If you were hesitant to believe Apple’s claim that the iPad Air would be twice as fast as the iPad 4, there’s now some hard data to help back it up. Primate Labs ran the iPad Air through its Geekbench 3 benchmark, with it scoring roughly double that of the iPad 4.
The tests also confirmed that the Air’s A7 processor will run at 1.4 GHz.
If you want to see how it runs yourself, the iPad Air goes on sale online and in Apple Stores this Friday. Looking at the benchmarks, it’s pretty exciting to see just how much the iPad has improved since the iPad 2.
