In a move that’s likely somewhat overdue, Instagram has implemented the ability for people to embed its videos and pictures directly into web pages.
Users can now simply go on the Instagram desktop client, go to a picture/video they want to share and there will now be an embed code that they can copy and paste wherever they please. Embedding will not work on content from users that have privacy restrictions turned on. Here’s a random cat picture I found.
Competing services like Twitter’s Vine have already supported embedding for some time.
What are you waiting for? Start embedding dumb filtered photos EVERYWHERE.
