Mailbox, the slick and simple e-mail client for iOS, has been massively successful both critically and on the app store’s charts since it was first released just three months ago. The now Dropbox-owned company announced that it will be expanding its popular app to the iPad as well, and that development on the tablet version is already underway.
One of the few complaints about the Mailbox app for iPhone was that it didn’t include iPad support. The app’s developers, however, recognize that its essential for a productivity app like Mailbox to be available across multiple devices. The developers revealed this information, as well as the fact that bringing the app to desktops is part of their company’s extended road map, on their Twitter account today as they took time to respond to several questions.
