I’m not one to read much on my iPhone. I check Reeder for the news a lot, but most of the time I just get my in-depth reading done on my iPad, well, iPad mini now. After spending some time with Readmill, that could very much change for me in the near future.
This isn’t a full review; that’s coming in the near future. But, I did want to give you guys all a heads up about the app. Books are easy to read, which is easily the most important part of the application. But, in addition to that, you can also highlight, share, and comment on books as you read them. You can also get statistics on your reading tendencies, like time spent reading a book, and how much time is left before you’ll complete it.
Another cool feature is its ability to adjust the screen brightness based on a swipe from the top to bottom of the screen. You no longer have to hop into your Settings app to get at them, or if you’re running Auxo (jailbreak tweak), into the multitasking tray on your phone.
The app is universal and it’s free on the App Store. It’s worth downloading and adding some free books over the weekend. I’m diving into the Wizard of Oz.
