While some reports have assigned the fifth-generation iPad a March release date along with a new Retina iPad mini, a new report by Jeremy Horwitz of iLounge has the iPad 5 coming out at a later date of October.
Horwitz claims that he “had the opportunity to inspect a supposedly accurate — and seriously intriguing — physical model of the completely redesigned fifth-generation iPad.” He says that the new model takes a number of design cues from the iPad mini in terms of things like the device’s edges. Horwitz also claims the new iPad has “virtually no right or left bezels.”
He also gathered details on the upcoming iPhone 5S as well as the rumored cheaper iPhone. He said that the 5S is similar to the 5; however, it included a larger flash. He also claims there is a cheaper iPhone in the works that features a plastic case.
We’ll have to wait and see how much truth these reports hold, but what has been said definitely sounds plausible.
